Virgin London Marathon 2015

We are excited to announce that we have six keen runners training to take part in the Virgin London Marathon to raise funds for Dermatrust!

Our runners for the marathon, which will take place on Sunday 26 April 2015, are:

  • Ryan and Rebecca Duignan
  • Stuart Woolmer
  • Russell Hicklin
  • Anna Weston
  • David Katznelson

We are very grateful to all of our runners putting in the hard work to raise funds for Dermatrust. In particular we would like to thank David who is aiming to complete the marathon for the second time on our behalf. Good luck to everyone taking part!

Here is a little more information about our participants:

Stuart Woolmer:

I’m 24 and work in London as an accountant for Lewis Golden & Co on Queen Anne Street. After completing a couple of half marathons I have finally decided to take the plunge and take on my first ever London Marathon in 2015. As a footballer and keen runner this is a massive challenge which I have always wanted to take on and now that opportunity is finally here thanks to Dermatrust. What started off as a personal challenge has grown into something so much more. It was a real honour to get to speak to Arne, Malcolm and their team at the Dermatrust reception and to understand the amount of time, effort and belief that they put towards this cause has really inspired me. I feel like I am no longer training and running alone and it has given me great motivation to really push on and do what I can to raise money for Dermatrust who continue to do fantastic work and genuinely change peoples lives. I cannot wait until 26th April to run in their name and hopefully make it to the finish!

Anna Weston:

I enjoy running but running this marathon is going to be the biggest challenge I’ve had to date. It’s a daunting distance, even for an experienced runner, and I’ve started training hard to ensure that I can do the 26 miles justice! Fundraising for this is also going to be a big challenge, but one that I am glad to take on. I work hard as a primary school teacher in Edinburgh, but I’m looking forward to committing my spare time to raising money and awareness of this fantastic charity, and hopefully getting in some training along the way!
